Best possible chicken buying experience If I could, I would rate The Poultry Hatchery ten out of five stars. A month ago, I bought six chicks, each of a different heritage breed. I have an agricultural background, I'm an animal person, and I work in the dairy industry, but I was a newbie when it comes to chickens. The staff at The Poultry Hatchery told me to take my time choosing which chicks I wanted and to ask all the questions I had. They took time to explain different breeds and show me pictures of mature chickens from each. They were very attentive in answering all my questions without condescension, and gave informed recommendations about everything from which chicks to buy to what kind of bedding to use in the coop. Even a month after I took my chicks home, I still converse with Jeff about how to best care for them. Everyone on the staff is generous with their time and information. I am so impressed with their willingness to educate their customers and share their knowledge. People who are not familiar with animals can still be conscientious backyard chicken people if they visit The Poultry Hatchery. They do not hold back information and do not oversell. For someone who is already very knowledgeable or a breeder, the quality of their stock is top quality. I recommend The Poultry Hatchery 100% and more.

We found The Poultry Hatchery through a friend and are so very happy we did! They were able to assist us with a same day order of specialty chicks (that we ordered at the last minute), even though they were extremely busy all day! They are very personable and knowledgeable about all their chicks. We are currently waiting for a few roosters and other chicks to come in, but all of the chicks we picked up during our visit were happy and healthy! Those same chicks are growing very well and we have not had any problems with any of them! I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and organization demonstrated by this business. We will DEFINITELY be doing business with them in the future. I highly recommend The Poultry Hatchery!

This was my first purchase with the poultry hatchery and I have never had such a fantastic experience with anyone other than this hatchery. The quality is not hatchery stock. I found the prices for the quality is underpriced and a greater value. I've ordered 200 heavy egg layer pullets and the sexing was 100% correct with no losses or genetic issues. I highly recommend these guys to other poultry breeders and backyard chicken keepers. The facility was extremely clean and organized. They really take their breeding stock to heart and have pride in their hatchery. As I did not have a bad experience from reading all the reviews neither has anyone else. Their customer service was great. Very friendly and processed my order the same week of placing it. I look forward to being a repeat customer. I highly recommend this hatchery. Keep up the great work!

Tremendous experience! Purchased 6 chicks and the staff was very courteous and helpful. The person who associated us went out of her way to educate us on care of the chicks and our small farm in general. Very happy with my experience.
