The tastiest fish in the whole of Grimsby. The batter was crispy and the fish was mildly sweet with a gorgeous white texture; it was a blissful experience. You got a pot of tea with fish and chips which is classic Yorkshire! I don’t usually have fish and chips apart from the seaside so not much to compare it to. But it was amazing. Not soggy or too battered at all. Waitresses are all incredibly friendly; they could teach people inland a thing or too about customer service! The decor is outdated but I personally loved that vibe.

I have a thing about good fish and chips and I have eaten them all over the country. Steels serve without doubt the most delicious fish and chips that I have ever tasted in my 58 years on this planet. The haddock is of the very best quality, beautiful white filets and a very generous portion too. The batter is superb. The chips are excellent and the mushy peas are spot on. The pots of tea are lovely and so is the bread and butter. The ladies serving are always very friendly and they are immaculately turned out. Everywhere is beautifully clean. Why settle for second best when you can have steels...
