Amazing customer service! Went in for an Airbag light. First time to the shop. Jeff followed up with communication as promised. Took amount of time as promised for repair. Jeff even extended his "loyal customer " discount to me on my first visit. This was no inexpensive repair and he was trying to help ease the burden of the expense as well as retain a "loyal customer ". He did exactly both. When I picked up my car and pulled into my garage the light came back on! I called the shop and Jeff had me bring the car right back. When I took it back in the service tech diagnosed the "new issue" right away and I again left my car. Jeff assured me of a new pick up time and again, as promised, my car was ready and Jeff extended a more than gracious gift when I picked the car up. There was a tiny "snafu" in the first repair round so, this second repair was "complimentary "! Wow! Now, what other shop does this?!!

Generally I do all my own mechanic work but didn't have the time or equipment I needed for the job they did. Not an easy job. They did it right, and for a very fair price. The owner James actually works in the shop too which you hardly ever see. Great work, great customer service. We won't take our Audi to anyone else. 5 stars from me

Gave us an honest evaluation of our Volvo. Saved us a bunch of cash and grief. Took the time to explain things to me and help me make decisions about our xc90. Grateful to have gone to them!

I am so thankful for Clarke's! My car's trunk suddenly stopped latching. I called them first thing in the morning and Jeff said to bring it in. He took a look at it, quickly figured out the problem and fixed it on the spot. He was friendly and helpful - can't ask for more!

Got quote from Vancouver shop. Decided to get quote from the Portland shop to save about 80 in tax. They quoted 30% higher for same work in Portland as they did in Vancouver. I was told that the owner of both shops set the price, so why a 30% higher price. I did a little research and found that I can buy 6 spark plugs at auto parts store for 36, and that Clarkes was charging 26 per plug, or 156. These guys are shooting straight with anyone. Took my car to Vancouver Tire, got same work done for less, and they were very helpful. Clarkes manager was rude and certainly did not like my getting quotes from both stores. Avoid these guys!

These guys are the WORST! Made an appointment for a Thursday and when I showed up they said they were booked for the day and to bring it back next Thursday. Like an IDIOT I did. Not only did the estimate go up 100.00 in the week (mis calculated labor) but it continued to go up during the day. Finally 6 hours later with no work started yet and the estimate going from 800.00 to 1800.00 ( said "while we're in there we may as well fix.....") I picked my car up. As a last resort they offered to do the work for 1300.00. NO THANKS! TOO SHADY for me to even leave my Volvo at their shop!

My wife has been taking her Jag into Clarke's off and on for the past 8 years. Not once have the fixed it the first time. Airconditioning: 2500, 4 visits, still not fixed. Powersteering fluid leak: 2100, 3 visits, not fixed. I ended up fixing it myself by adding Lucas stop leak. My son bouth a used BMW. Took it in to have them check why it was loosing power. After 4 days they checked everything but the issue we brought it in for. Clarke's said it needed new front suspension: 1800, electric window motor 400. The next day they gave us a quote of 250 to replace the Oxygen Sensor, and 500 to replace the Mass Airflow Sensor. We decided to just pick the BMW up without them doing any of the work. When we got there, it wouldn't start. They tried to jump it and still no go. They said the starter was out, shrugged there shoulders and walked into the shop. We had it towed home. I'm not a mechanic and for 350 in parts I replaced the Oxygen Sensor and Mass Airflow Sensor. I was unable to get the engine to turn over so I ended up replacing the starter for 130 and a day's work. Still wouldn't start. I finally found out the issue, the ground cable from the chassis to the engine was loose. Replaced that and all was good. My point about Clarke's is they are overpriced, unfriendly, and the mechanics they hire must come from the local shop class. I will never take a vehicle into them again, I just don't feel they are a trustworthy company.
