I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of customer care on how this location serves beef brisket to its customers. Literally, everytime I order a brisket sandwich 1/2 of the meat in the sandwich consists of fat chunks. That's correct, fat chunks. They don't even have courtesy or quality acumen to trim the huge fat portions off the brisket before carving slices to customers. I just purchased a sandwich, and yet again, I took a bite and had to spit it out because the entire bitten portion was only fat. If I was able to upload a picture and attach to this review, I would, to show as proof. This is unacceptable. They charge 10 for a brisket sandwich that only has 5 slices and to have 1/2 my sandwich in fat is simply taking advantage of customers. Only have the portion of the meat is edible. I've been to several City Barbeque establishments in the suburb areas and this location is the only one that always, at least for me, gives me non edible portions of brisket. I pay full price to only be able to consume half. That is ridiculous.

Always enjoy the beef brisket sandwich. So tender and delicious!!!! Fries too.
Really love the brisket. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that the seasoning has to appeal to everyone. Would love if they did one or more with different rubs. Maybe a 'rub of the month', sell it on the side for home use...
I'll admit that I was worried that this place was going to disappoint when it was announced that City Barbecue was coming to Park Ridge. I surprisingly enjoyed Todd's BBQ before it was unfortunately replaced by the less than stellar Pork & Mindy's inside Mariano's, and I didn't want to be let down again. I was wrong. City Barbecue was delicious. The smoking was spot on, the cuts were great (we had brisket) , the sides were good (we had baked beans), and words cannot describe how amazing the banana pudding is. I couldn't be more relieved and ready to go back for more.
One of my favorite BBQ joints period. The staff are always super friendly and hospitable, they welcome you in every time and give you suggestions on combinations or what sauces go with what meat. I’ve had almost everything on the menu now and honestly everything has been on point. Ordered for one and for groups and the food and service is always consistently top notch. For a suburban BBQ chain, the quality is up there with the likes of Green Street Smoked Meats and Smoke. Highly recommended.
