A lovely, quirky place across from the river in York, a wide selection of foods and drinks that we enjoyed- and service was quick and efficient. Cannot recommend enough!!

been past this lovely small building on the bridge a number of times but still not been in .there is a small garden part with a lovely view to watch the boats going past along the water. and its a good place to sit and watch the people going by on the bridge i really will have to call in here next time I visit York may have a Gin will have to see how I feel on the day .
Beautiful quaint place by the river. It’s only small but I absolutely LOVED my time in there. They’ve the best selection of gins and other alcoholic drinks!
So it's changed hands since we last visited and the new stripped down interior (why is grey the colour of the moment) is still welcoming if a little stark. whether its for a warming tea and cake, a light lunch, or a specWe had a light lunch from the reduced menu, which was fresh made and still good. The staff were super friendly and were in discussion with some Tourists to give pointers on where to go locally and elsewhere in the UK. The toilet is in the base of the turret and has a precipitous climb up and down. But don't be put off and seek this place out.
York has a new haven! A beautifully situated cafe by the bridge! New management has done amazing touch in the place. Enjoyed the lovely coffee and a slice of moist chocolate cake on a sun-kissed spring day! I love the ambience of calmness and enjoyment! Will definitely come back!!
