These 5-star reviews are really suspect because: (1) the food is not great by authentic Haitian food standards...if you know you know. (2) the portions are ridiculously small; really doesn’t make any sense. (3) their prices are absurdly high considering the small portions. They charge this mysterious fee when you pay with card, but try to convince you not to believe your own eyes. Just be honest; y’all are passing on fees from the merchant servicer to your customers. My family and I were thrilled to discover this place in South Jersey, but I’ve tried to be patient with them because I really wanted to support a Haitian owned business and after today’s latest debacle of an experience, I’m done. To summarize, overpriced below average food. Please do better with your prices, portions and maybe get a new cook.

I was thinking that I need to eat something different, looked up and found this gem. Took the next turn and it was the best decision ever. The food is delicious, the staff very pleasant and the place is very clean. I had the oxtails with rice and peas and ripe plaintain. Ordered the legumes for my vegetarian daughters. It was all outstanding. Looking forward to trying the fish and their soup which they said they have on Sundays.

I had the fried red snapper today with cabbage and sweet plantains. It was amazing! The chicken patty was also good. The staff is very nice and the restaurant is clean. I am so happy I found this place, I will definitely tell my friends and family to check it out!!! I can't wait to try other items on the menu.

I came in on a Sunday and had soup joumou. The soup was amazing that I had to double back and order another. The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. While eating there food you will quickly realize the food is made fresh and with love. This restaurant is really a hidden gem and I fell in love with every bite.

I had the legumes with rice and beans and it was very very delicious. I love the type of rice that came with it. I’m glad we have a restaurant nearby that offers authentic delicious Haitian food. I will definitely not be cooking everyday
