Figured I should provide some info I wasn't aware of before living here. Laundry's no longer free. My bathroom flooded while I wasn't even using it in the spring, apparently because another apartment had a clogged toilet. Also, despite the fact this is a dorm, UPA is out of UC police's jurisdiction, so if there's an issue Cincinnati police are called. A/C was turned off in October (which is normal don't get me wrong), but now that we have some warm November days my apartment has been 76 to 80 degrees for 4 days straight. I wouldn't be complaining if it wasn't so expensive to live here. Definitely moving to a real apartment after this semester. 2/5 too much water.

According to my RA, UC bought out UPA, making any repairs/construction UC's responsibility. And there have been a lot of problems since moving in. First, the apartment was not cleaned before move-in. The bathroom was filthy and my roommate's mom had to bleach it. There was drywall along the walls in the living room. Second, the common area of my floor is unfinished, just concrete and couches pushed together near the corner of the room. There were construction workers (who sat on the couches playing with their phones) but I don't even see them anymore. Third, the down button to the elevator had been broken for almost 2 weeks until it got fixed. It has been a disappointing experience so far. And the perks of free coffee and free food are gone. The apartments will have free laundry for the rest of the year but will very likely be gone next school year. Edit: I'm out of UPA now, good luck to anyone still staying there.
Turn AC and heater on and off as they please. Very slow to get maintenance for room. 15 minute of warm water for the shower. Carpets are dirty with paint stains and bunch of dark spots all over Rooms were not clean when students return after COVID locked down
Always Fresh and Hot. Absolutely the Best!!!
UPA is good. The apartments are fully furnished with ease of ability to cook. Plenty of space. The hallways may need renovation. Sometimes lamps are out or the carpet is in poor shape. Lobby needs frequent cleaning. The maintenance team usually takes care of a lot of good work but might be able to do better. The aquapointe purified water in lobby is highly quality H20. No purifiers North. Each floor has it's own lobby space which is nice. Free laundry. Trash service on each floor could be picked up more or processed better. This apartment is like Mount Carmel at the University of Cincinnati with the color of the building. Close to campus is always better especially next to track and baseball stadium.
