We went to the restaurant next door. Poppy's Tavern on the hill. Nice place. They have limited their menu because of civid. We like it when you can sit in their out door area.

Great Hibachi experience. Friendly and fun service. You can sit in the bar area and order drinks and apps if there is a wait. Family friendly environment, good for small parties. Food was delicious, I ordered the onion soup, grilled veggies and veggie roll. I will return and would recommend Sakura.

This is a great place to go if you're trying to get COVID-19. The only people wearing masks were the female waitstaff - not the host, not the hibachi chefs, not the kitchen staff, and very few of the customers. The host was also casually chatting with other unmasked people near the front door, forcing others to squeeze past them. The hibachi tables were too close together to follow social distancing guidelines, even if you wanted your own table for just your group (we sat at the empty sushi bar). The food was overpriced for its mediocre quality, and included borderline raw veggies. I specifically ordered a vegetarian meal (the only one on the menu) but I still found shrimp in it. My husband asked for his to be spicy, which they forgot. And I have no clue why, but I got a couple dirty looks from one of the hibachi chefs as he returned to the kitchen. This was my first, and last trip to this place. Honestly, I regret not just walking out once I realized how blatantly they were disregarding people's safety during a pandemic. It's only redeeming quality was our waitress, who deserves 5 stars. She was very polite, attentive, and informative.

Update: we did not get to eat. We finally left at 10:15 figuring we should find somewhere else to eat before we were famished. We are sitting at a table in the back, having made a reservation at 4:45 for 8:30 tonight and it is now 9:54. We ordered sushi an hour ago. Literally EVERYONE in the place is complaining and the chefs are apologizing. The bathrooms are beautifully decorated but naaaaasty. Very very disappointed. This is the second reservation we’ve made in the last few months based on recommendations from friends but clearly they had a different experience than us. We drove over an hour to get here.
