Moved from this area last year and miss this church immensely. The services were very well attended and spiritually uplifting with a friendly and comforting atmosphere. This was owing to Fr. John who is deeply spiritual himself, gives interesting talks and homilies, is hard working but stands no nonsense. In all a lovely church and a wonderful parish priest.

My parish facilitates a strong spiritual life and makes an effort to accommodate everyone, including people with special needs. The parishioners are provided with opportunities to serve and be part of the parish community as much as they could. Mary Mother Of God Church parish encourage those who have left the Catholic faith to return back to the Church. My priest Fr John Shewring, provides Bible Studies opportunities that are sufficient to allow anybody, adults, children and young adults to develop a strong faith (other than altar servers) in the Eucharistic celebration. At Mary Mother of God Church, Sunday Eucharist is celebrated with full and active participation by parishioners and Homilies are directly related to scriptures and to the real life experiences. I feel welcomed and a part of each Eucharistic celebration I attend.
Nice and quiet church. Not very busy but very convivial. And the priest is funny too !
