The 점심류 here is epic!!! They do banchan right: they are generous with their banchan, even in their to-go orders. Most places only give you 4-5 different things, but they give you twice that amount! Prices are affordable, especially for Korean food. They serve purple rice too - what a treat! I got their pork bulgogi today, and it was quite good.

Hotpot fish roe is awesome. Definitely recommend it and of course famous sprouts hotpot soup is great!
Went during dinner time on a weekend. A little wait but very quick! The ladies there take your order if there is a wait so when you sit youre food will come out shortly! Was my first time here and i was going to order 2 stews but the lady suggested 1 seafood stew and a meat dish. Would be plenty enough for 4 people. Im glad she chose what we ordered because this was still too much for 4 people! The atmosphere is cozy but fast paced. The food was amazing! Im so glad i came here. Not too spicey, just the right amount, perfect during a cold night. Definitely will come back and try different stews!
Chunju is straight forward and to the point. You know what you’re getting yourself into at this joint. Most come here for the 부대찌개/budaejjigae (army stew) which is what we ordered. It’s almost as if the wait staff knew that was what we were getting before we got there. The boiling cauldron of Korean goodness came out to the table within minutes of sitting down. Add to that, a scallion pancake and a generous helping of 반찬/banchan helped round out our dinner. The waiters were kind and offered more 반찬 if we had finished one. They also catered to a non-Korean crowd by knowing more English than the average Korean restaurant. Food was plenty flavorful and hearty, if not a tad bit oily. They serve rice with beans folded in which I always enjoy. Decor is fun. No music blares over your meal unlike most places in the neighborhood. It’s a simple restaurant that delivers. Valet parking is 3. Would come back to try other dishes.
It looks like every other ktown restaurant; not fancy, but clean. You’ll find simple, delicious food and friendly service. Kimchi Pajun comes out piping hot and crispy on a cast iron plate. We liked that it wasn’t overly greasy. We also got the seafood soup (serves 2) which comes with crab, fish, squid, octopus, and vegetables. It was light and fresh, pleasantly spicy. Parking was easy for a Saturday afternoon. Small lot out in front and no valet attendant during the day.
