One of my favourite places in George Town. Wide selection of delicious, affordable food, also serves beer. Gets packed.

This wantan mee thickness is perfect for me. Taste is good too. Curry mee is ok.
Average fare when Kimberley Street night stalls are shut for the night. For some strange reasons, this street still operates after 10pm during MCO. The Penang style wanton mee by "Mother and Son" is popular with the locals, but far below KL standards. Across the street, an octagenarian couple will fry up unremarkable Char Koay Teow with cockle sprats and shrimps (RM5.50). For the drunks loitering out of bars on to the streets, average is good enough to fill their empty stomachs.
It was smaller than i thought and seats was quite limited. Go early or do take away to avoid disappointment. Since seats was limited, please eat and leave as when you finished to let others have a chance to secure seat. Wantan noodle was cheap at rm4.50 and portion was quite a lot. Cant believe still have this price since this is a tourist spot, some shop will mark up their food price. The kung fu chao have wok hei, soo good..and osyter was quite dry, love it! Also, can try the apom which locate just opposite the hawker stall, it was so crispy and taste like kuih kapit, very special.
I reccomend wan tan mee , super delicious
[holiao] 1) overall - street hawker stalls, limited seating, literally next to street, friendly drink stall seller, plenty of selection from Chulia street might hawker stall 2) curry mee was milky and tasted good with enough sambal. Plenty of tofupok, enjoyed every single scoop of it. 3) wan tan Mee was fantastic with the springy noodle and pork lard. Wan tan was not bad too. Cheap and okay portion.
Try a few hawkers fare here only found the wanton mee quite good but not outstanding the rest is of the food nothing to shout about..
Nice penang Street food. The curry noodle must try. Is very good and aroma.
