Went and had an awesome time! Be mindful of the rules and just enjoy the experience. I've been wanting to go to for years and years and it was everything I expected. Definitely try to go with friends, and get everyone on board to play along if they are not familiar with the premise. You get a points card when you arrive, and the maids all speak conversational English and it is super easy to chat and order food. Every floor is a different theme, so try and find one that you like!

Don't let the lack of Japanese speaking ability deter you from going. The maids will still do their best to interact with you, and can get across with limited English better than you think. English menus help as well. (Of course if you get someone multi lingual lucky you!) I would encourage people to try this at least once. Some people reported poor experience. I would suggest trying another day or floor as there's a lot of them so there's bound to be some that are better than others.
Your first visit is a bit more difficult, but you will get a very high quality service. This is the most recommended maid cafe.
It was an odd experience but one you have to do if you are visiting Japan. And if you do visit you need to get into the spirit and play along - or why else go! They give you a time limit but we went over it as it took forever to get our maid's attention to take our order. We got desserts as we wanted a meal elsewhere. They love whip cream - be warned if you don't like it or can't have it!
Never been to a Cosplay Maid Café in my life, this was the best one to go to for the first time. You’re not allowed to take pictures or recording anything of anyone within the cafe, except for your food & group pics if you’re with your friends. All of the maids were so happy, cute & didn’t break role. Even though only one of us spoke Japanese, our maid tried her hardest keeping a conversation with all of us throughout the night. They even decorated our plates & drinks with our favorite cartoon/anime character. The maids all participated in a mini singing show for everyone & that was cute to watch. Such a great experience to do in Japan.
