Absolutely top chippy. The fish is always immaculate- never greasy; never mushy; just perfect. And the chips are just as they should be- slightly crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inner. Whenever I get that fish and chips craving, I jump on the bus just to go to Carshalton; I pass several other chippies on the way but none of them can hold a candle to Des and Mary’s quality- both of food and of service. I can’t recommend Chipsmiths enough.

The best Fish and Chips in Carshalton.
Have to say I have always enjoyed this fish and chip shop. Always great chip's, fish and sausages. Not sure why but today's chips were soggy. Maybe it's because they have changed the potatoes they use but I hope the chips go back to there normal standard soon.
Great, friendly customer service from Mary & Des and despite Covid, they are running everything efficiently and safely. By far the best chips in the area, everything always tastes fresh and hot - only downside is pukka pies (Peters are far better ;) ).
