Lovely Christmas train ride to the North Pole aka Chinnor to see Santa. Four year old daughter loved the whole thing, even paid some attention to the train. Caring team of staff making every effort to create a nice atmosphere. Its a simple treat but good fun and good cause

Looked great to me at Chinnor, but we knew that we were just passing through on a non-open day. So we could only view the pretty old station. One to return to on a steam day.

What a fun family experience! The ride is very scenic and you'll love the smell and steam of the engines in their authentically renovated carriages. The staff are all great humoured volunteers - a good welcoming bunch. It was a nice way to spend am afternoon with the family during these trying times where activities are limited. When they re-open, book a ticket.

We booked the Santa steam special for us and our 2yr old and 5yr old. We all absolutely loved it. The train and carriages are beautiful and all the volunteer staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. It was a really special day out. Thank you!

A nice railway with main line connection at princes risborough. There could be a couple more things to do at Chinor (safe depot access, a miniature Railway) however I know there are space constraints. I went on a diesel gala a year or so ago and it was fantastic with a great atmosphere and plenty of loco variety including the sole survivor 'Clayton', class 37's, class 121 DMU's, a GBRf Class 66 and more. They also had cask beer on sale plus bottles in the shop which were all very nice for this sort of day. Good value for money too. *Diesel gala photos from 2018.
