Good old comforting peranakan food at reasonable pricing! Nothing spectacular but always hits the spot for comfort food and love that the quality is consistent throughout the years. Highly recommended!
What a nice place to have peranankan cuisine in Katong/Joo Chiat area. This place a have good and bad comments, I'm lucky today my first times bringing my family of 7 for late lunch. Is a wonderful experience with good attitude friendly service, and most importantly the foods are overall meet your satisfaction. Especially the Pork Pongteh, Lua-Keluar fried-rice and Petai sambal fried-rice too and also their Pie-Ti, Beef Rendang, Ngor-Hiong is not bad too. Otak is okay, just the Fu Yong Eggs are too common taste nothing special. Chendol is just to satisfy our last peranankan craving. Gootaste are good but can be better. Overall, this place does satisfying my family and price is reasonable, believe we will come back again.
Not bad, food was quite yummy but beef redang loses to Hock Lock Kee Rendezvous. Service could be a tad friendlier too.
We didn’t wait very long for the food to be served. This environment was comfortable and food was authentic. The mee siam is good, soft, tasty and a bit moist. My favourite dish goes to Sayur NangKo, this is cooked from unripped jackfruits. It’s rare to find even at Nonya Restaurant. Overall I like the food.
I never get disappointed coming here. I love how the food is not too overly seasoned. If u like a hawker sinful, this might not be the best place but if u are looking to have something simple and home like, I highly recommend.
