One of the best, but equally easily accessible, views of the western ghats flora is at this location. 4x4 jeep ride followed by a spectacular sunset can't be missed if you're in Kalama. Lovely place (no facilities for tourists though, but that's the point of every adventure trip )

An amazing place to view sunset, one can reach this place by walk, bike and jeep. it's 3 km distance from base point. You will get jeep facility from base point. the road is very steep so bikers need to be very careful.
Beautiful place. Been here many times... Both sunset and sunrise are wonderful to witness. Recently Kalasa municipality has started collecting entry free and restricted jeeps from going to peak. We have to walk 200 mts to top hill which gives good experience to people who never experienced trekking.

It's a very beautiful place. Don't think of driving your car to the top unless it's a 4x4 with a very good ground clearance. You can hire a Jeep (Mahindra Thar ) at the bottom of the hill for 1500 rupees this person will wait for 30 mins on the hill and take you back down. But for the best experience go early in the morning, you can trek around the neighbouring hills. And go back in the evening. Camping in the area is prohibited. On the top of the hill itself, the wind is cold and the view is just amazing. Avoid the random cows grazing and you'll be fine.
One of my favourite place near Horanadu. Camping in Kyatanmakki hill is bliss missing those beautiful days because of corona. we rode overnight to this hill and camped and witnessed the best sunrise of my life .

Awesome place. Best to visit post monsoon Oct to Jan. Can be accessed by jeep from horanadu or trek of 2hrs from the base point. Please keep the place natural and don't spoil the beauty by throwing wastes around. Photos taken were in dec2019
