Proper portions and the owners are twins. Food is fantastic and I tend to treat myself their on my cheat day. The curry is mood but full of flavour, it mixes well with the fluffy rice or even better on chips.
Very tasty chips
I've been going here since I was a young child and honestly holds a few great memories in my heart. Food is really nice, well priced and the owner is just amazing. While the chip quality seems to have gone down slightly over the years, I would honestly chalk that up to coming in later in the day before new chips were made and put out on rotation. Regardless, the owner truly makes the experience, his friendly attitude and kind nature really does improve the experience here. I love this little shop with my heart and would recommend the fish and chips and the chicken any day.
Why isnt there a 0 star rating option. I've been going here for over 20 years and the quality has got so bad, I will not be stepping foot in this chippy again. I Tried to go in and grab a chicken curry and chips this evening as its usually very good. The owner, took my order and went out the back. He then diced up some cheap manky looking chicken, put it into a small bowl. Took that to the pot where the chicken curry is usually stored and scooped some out of that pot into the bowl. He then took it to microwave it! I know it's only a small basic chippy, so I'm not expecting 5 star gourmet meals but I expect better quality food for my money than that. Dried up microwaved left overs? How is that appealing to any customer? No wonder the place is closed more often than its open these days. If that's acceptable to them, they they may as well, close and sell up now. Just wasting their time.
