When our stove continued to smell after 10 setting in burns we decided to get back in touch with Andy. We were not given much help and made to feel like we were doing something wrong. So we went direct to manufacturer. On giving them the serial number we (and they) were shocked to discover that Chichester wood stoves had painted over an existing black stove they had to get cream colour we ordered. That was the reason why the paint would not set and kept smelling. And why it marked with the lightest contact. They repainted the black one to fob us off and clear out their existing stock, rather than order the cream original that we paid for from the manufacturer. Very poor form indeed. The manufacturer were shocked to find out what had gone on. Fortunately we now have a cream original from the manufacturer and it is superb, no thanks to Chichester wood stoves or Andy who, incidentally, I have heard similarly poor opinions of from other locals I know.
We’ve just had our wood stove fitted including fake chimney breast and we’re really please. Can’t wait for Father Christmas to see! The Chichester Wood Stove team have done a top job. Thank you
What a fabulous service Chichester Wood Stoves supply. Andy came to our house within 2 days of my first phone call and gave me advice for our fireplace . He did not charge for this and we had the quote within a couple of days . Andy and Steve redesigned our fire place and fitted a gas fire in it . They also removed a log burner from another room and repaired the plaster work that was falling off . This had been fitted by another company only 3 years ago ! Andy and Steve were polite , efficient and the whole experience was totally stress free ! I would highly recommend them to everyone .
Christmas has come early!! Andy and his team installed our new Heta 45 brilliantly. No fuss, no mess. The central heating hasn't been on since, as the stove is working even more efficiently that we expected. From a useless, small open fireplace to a real feature of the room in a day. Just regret not buying sooner.
