Proper English pub in the center of Chichester. With the history of this place going as far as 1742, they had a plenty time to figure out how to do what they do best. Excellent selection of beer, cider and ale served in great quality. They also serve food, however the menu is designed to compliment the long drink list rather then the other way around. The staff is super friendly and they know their beers, so do no hesitate to ask. I cannot wait tongo back again.

Hole in the wall is a frequent haunt of ours. The food is wonderful. I can’t recommend the ribs enough and I highly recommend their Sunday dinners - one of the best in town. I find the hole in the wall to be very warm and welcoming - a lovely indoor setting for a catch-up between friends or date night meal with after dinner drinks. There is often vinyl playing in the background and the pub is set up for live music and local bands (you’ll have to keep an eye on their media and website for dates). Oh and I should also note that this pub boasts not one but two large open fires - a real bonus this time of year.

Nice pub with good mix of customers giving nice vibe. Staff are variable, some are excellent some less so. Food is quite pricey for pub grub and quality varies too. Drinks choice is excellent though - hence the 4 star rating

Awesome pub, great beer. Good food. Would all have run a lot more smoothly if the supervisor had been around and not just abandoned the lone bar girl to look after the busy lunchtime service.
