Dr Houston is the best! He takes his time to answer all of your questions and does not rush you. He's very professional, warm and can break complicated things down so its easy to understand. We felt very comfortable with him and it seemed like he really cared about our son. I would definitely recommend anyone thats hesitant to take their infant anywhere to go see Dr Houston. And the staff and MA's are very friendly, plenty of street parking as well.
My son needed to see a pediatric urologist for a penile adhesion. He was only 6 months at the time and I did a fair amount of research since I wanted a doctor who wouldn't jump to extremes. His staff is friendly and comforting and he was absolutely wonderful. He was gentle and caring when examining my son and explained everything to me in a way that anyone could understand and appreciate. He recommended a steroid cream to help separate the skin. Within 2 weeks of using it I saw the results and because of covid had a follow up teletherapy appointment with Dr. Houston. Again he was patient and reassuring, informed me of follow up care and that if I ever noticed anything or needed his help he would be there for my son. I have interacted with plenty of doctors and hands down he stood out as one of the best.
Very positive experience with Dr. Houston and his staff. Dr. Houston takes the time to really listen and answer questions. I agree that he is absolutely worth the wait. My daughter's surgery was a success and she continues to thrive to this day and we have him to thank for that.
Dr. John Houston has been in this profession a long time. Never once have I ever heard him complain of what he's chosen to do for a lifetime. He is both brilliant and compassionate. However, as I read these reviews..I am blown away that one in particular would imply that it is the materialistic things that can be garnered by a job that pays well, is the motivation for Dr. Houston's work. I cannot tell you the many sacrifices this young man has made working in this profession. When it has come to his family, and his own personal enjoyment of life. He is a driven candidate who has chosen a field that is super special just because it deals with our most precious cargo...our children. Does this mean this man is perfect absolutely not..however he is dedicated to his profession. I apologize to anyone who feels Dr. Houston has not served them well, I have known him all my life and I can tell you that when you place your child's well being in the hands of Dr. Houston you have made an intellectual and well considered choice... and I will guarantee you..he ranks among one of the best there is.
