I had a plate of Lechon for lunch. Very well flavoured meat, the rice was perfectly cooked and the black beans had been spiced with jalapenos. The platanos were out of this world. The ambience is quite nice, a lively little Colombian cafe bang in the middle of Chicago. 10/10 would visit again

I've been coming to Cafecito since 2011 and it never disappoints. Everything on the menu is good! Some of my favorites are: the mar y tierra sandwich (spanish chorizo and shrimp), the ropa vieja sandwich, the sopa gallego, and the guava and cheese pastelito (pastry). The pastry is incredibly buttery and flaky and the filling is the perfect combo of sweet and salty. I'll continue to eat here anytime I'm in the loop! COVID note: the staff wore masks and it wasn't crowded at all when I went on a weekday afternoon.

I LOVE this place! The food is excellent and they have so many vegan options! They are a great local family-owned chain with excellent Cuban food. Food is always prepared super fast and prepped in front of you so you know it’s fresh.

Was here pre-pandemic and had the Cubano sandwich. Normally never my go-to sandwich but heard/read it was the best and it was!! This led me to start ordering it from other places and it is just not the same so I went back to normal never ordering a Cuban sandwich.. I live in a different state so I'll never have a good Cuban sandwich again... And the iced coffee was really good too
