I love it here! Super cute aesthetic.. personable staff that is knowledgeable about the menu.. boozy drinks! What more can you ask for? My food came out hot; too hot I bit into a jalapeño and cried and my waitress was right there with my cocktail to soothe me. We came late and they served us like they had just opened!

Now this is a place I will keep coming back to!! We loved it so much and the environment is the best! Please visit and enjoy what we did! ️ the staff feels like family and makes you feel so welcome and the FOOD!!! It’s the best!!!! A must if you visit or live in Chicago ️️ I can finally say I have a favorite place to visit for now on! ️️️ Hawaiian hideout is a must! ️️
Such a neighborhood gem!! So many great things I have to say about this place. Hawaiian Hideout offers a variety of drinks and delicious Asian fusion food options, all at a very reasonable price. The drinks are generally between 8-10 and the dishes are generally 10-15. We found our drinks to be STRONG and refreshing, and our pad see ewe and panang curry to be delicious. The food portions seemed a bit small, but honestly with the prices of the drinks, we didn't feel too bad about it. There's also a vegan section of the menu and lots of options for people with dietary restrictions, which I was impressed by. In addition to food, service was friendly and reasonable. But the most impressive part of the restaurant has got to be the beautiful, authentic decor that transports you to the beach in Hawaii. Can't wait to bring our friends back here!
Update 1/22/21: Yep, it's still great. This time ordered delivery because it was so cold out. Food arrived quickly, packaged well, and hot/fresh! The best part about AO is that they are consistent. Consistently good - when you order you always know you're going to get great fresh food with nice portions. One of the best in the neighborhood! Excellent. Sat out on the patio (as its the only thing open due to Covid) and it was nice. The food is very fresh and flavorful and the portions are big. They have daily specials which are nice. The drinks are good and strong, so be careful. The service was very good. Will definitely be back.
