I lost my 9 yo tiger tabby a week before his adoption anniversary. Bob Shaw is a godsend. He was very respectful, compassionate and courteous throughout the entire process. Even with his limited availability dur to the blizzard and the low temperature from that week, he still made sure he was available for me to come by. I was able to customize every single detail of Marley's cremation. I only had to pay 210 for everything, which was the lowest quote I received from the animal hospitals I called, before finding Bob, and that was without receiving his remains back (bc of group cremation) and only getting a paw print back. While with Bob, I got so much more and a single cremation. For my package from Bob, I received 2 customized clay paw prints, 38 front and back ink paw prints, 3 Essence necklaces,1 glass necklace infused with his remains, snips of his fur from all over, a scattering tube, and the candle urn. Bob does everything himself and alone, so it takes time which only adds to the value of his work. He also was generous enough to let me pay at the time of pickup when I didn't have the full amount.

We were treated with great kindness and respect during the entire process. Very understanding and they went above what our requests were. The location is a 30 min drive from our house, but I am so happy we used their services and not a location that was close just for convenience. I would recommend their services to anyone during their time of need.

Bob is amazing. Truly one of the most genuine, gentle, patient and kind hearted people out there. I truly felt comfortable handing over my fur baby to him. He made the whole process less painful and less stressful. When I picked up her ashes today I was greeted with all of olive’s things, fur clippings, paw prints, a glass pendant with her ashes infused, a memorial stone and pendants for my family. Bob goes above and beyond and truly grateful for making this transition a little less painful ️.

I am so grateful to the animal cremation society for helping me through this tough time. My dog passed away suddenly November 3rd and Bob answered my late nights phone call inquiring about their services. He agreed to meet me early the next morning. I can’t thank Bob enough for his kindness. He answered my questions and made this whole process very easy considering the circumstances. He had everything ready a few days later. I purchased and urn which looks great. He made little paw prints, and cut pieces of hair for my family, and even including some pendants with pups ashes. I was able to make a shadow box and put everything Bob made in my living room. Thank you so much Bob! I love sitting in my living room and being able to see my little baby.

Gosh, where to start...my best friend (Smokey the Pittie) passed away unexpectedly back in November 2020. I was a wreck and it's taken me a long time to come to terms with it. This review is long overdue. Bob is incredible! When you call, you'll probably get voicemail but do leave a message. Bob will call back asap. He is very caring; both sympathetic and empathetic, which I truly needed during such a devastating time. He is also very patient and easy to communicate with. The price for cremation is the best, from what I've found, and I called several places in Chicago plus a couple in the burbs. Thank you, Bob, for making the transition smoother for me (and everyone in my household). You are truly a wonderful soul!
