Loved their mushroom melt, not a vegan but definitely enjoyed it and was very surprised how delicious the taste was. Tried both of their pancakes also, very hearty and generous servings. Lovely and efficient staff too!

It's great to find a 100% vegan menu! Lovely food, friendly staff and great decoration. Will definitely come back.

First things first, the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, since they moved to the new premises I feel like things went downhill a little bit from a service/options/value perspective in our personal opinion. I have been in the new location 4 times now and especially over the last 2, I felt it became overpriced (the most expensive vegetables ever and tiny portions). In addition to that, sandwiches and salads come out very quickly, then the cutlery is brought and finally the drinks are served...You may think it was a one off but, it happened twice already and I don't think I'll give it another ago for a while now... Just not the old good Chia for us....which is a shame!

I really want to support places like this, but I always leave Chia feeling a bit disappointed. I've been a couple of times and the food never lives up to the description or other vegan food I have had - generally it is bland, unseasoned, and not particularly exciting. The service is usually pretty awful, although very friendly and well-meaning. It just feels like no one has actually been trained in customer service or on how to wait tables. Last time we went we ordered some kind of roasted potato with garlic, but it turned up as un-garlicky potato mush. We complained, the waitress told her manager, who very promptly... did nothing at all. She didn't even come to talk to us. That said, the place looks beautiful and the ethos is there. The smoothies and stuff are also delicious. I just wish the management would step it up a bit. There are some really annoying tropes about vegan and other ethical eating/shopping establishments - i.e. they are run by disorganized hippies with no sense for business, the food is just a million variations of soya with no flavour, etc... basically that they could never be as good as mainstream places. This is absolutely untrue, but to dispel the myth, alternative food places need to be excellent - Chia just isn't.
