6/20/2020 Saturday dinner. Based on many highly rated online reviews and was recommended by a Japanese waitress at Au 14 Fevrier, so we gave it a chance to benchmark our expectations. Result? Nothing special except it has one of our favorite sake. Braised pork was tender but just tasted alright. Gyoza was ok. Unfortunately Not crispy at all. Seems like they were all pan fried ahead of time. The kitchen re heat them once order was placed. Fried chicken was ok but oily. Spinach salad was too soupy. Eel sushi served with no wasabi (?), we had to chase down the waitress for it. Eel Sushi had way too much rice. Eel was not treated, not a touch of sauce on top. No seaweed wrap. Just plain eel sit on top of a Rice cube. Sushi selection was limited, perhaps 5 types ( although it’s way better than most sushi restaurants in Lyon which had only salmon and tuna) This restaurant is a duplex unit. Only one waitress who managed everything....dine in orderS, beverages, take out orders, clear tables etc. getting her attention was not easy. She was quite old and she had to run up and down the restaurant many times. She was not as courteous like normal Japanese restaurant staffs. Guess I could see why. Lastly, the meal was not cheap in my opinion - nearly 200 euro. Don’t think we will return. Not sure why it had so many positive reviews ( decor? Service? Sake selection? Food selection? Sushi selection?). May be we overlook something? Miko Sushi was disappointing. Chez Terra was about 4 out of 10. Our quest of decent Japanese restaurant in Lyon continue.

Interiors need to be remodeled but except that, very good and tasty Japanese specialties (Gyoza, etc.)

I thought the food was good but it was leveled to more of a western taste. The alcohol here is extremely expensive compared to Tomo...I would recommend just getting food. I wanted to try one of the degustation meals, but apparently you need a different reservation than the one you book. Odd... If you want something a little more authentic, head south to Tomo. The prices for food and alcohol/sake are all around more reasonable.

(Lunch menu) Very good food, authentic Japanese dishes, taking care of each details and flavors, the materials are all very fresh, even seafood like mussels are extremely simple but tasty! The portion is not giant but for a girl like me is already very full and satisfied! Last but not least, the dessert \crème brûlée au thé vert\ is surprisingly sooooooo delicious! One of the best resto in Lyon I suppose! Highly recommend!!!

Very good quality. No English but if you are brave don't worry as you will recognize the dishes by Japanese name if you know the food.
