Very authentic Chinese food! We had their famous spicy beef, as well as aubergine with minced pork, sizzling tofu and hot spicy fish pot. Everything was very well made and tasted like home. The ambience of the restaurant also feels like traditional Chinese tea house. Very nice!

Great little place, love the decor and atmosphere. There is a main floor and a second indoor level with a balcony. We showed up 15 minutes after it opened for dinner and were the only ones there for still another 30 minutes. Good service and good food, decently priced.
Portion is quite big with the good taste and reasonable price. There is no English menu but there is pictures on the menu

///Edit/// I came back because it was late and I really wanted to try something else. Got the pork schezhuan and man, was it delicious! The guy who waited on me said it was hot and asked if it would be okay with. Not too spicy at all...again another dish that was very well balanced and full of flavor. Why can't I find this in America?!? ///End Edit/// I really enjoyed the meal that I had here. I would say that overall, it is a better experience than the Elephant restaurant. It is close to Elephant but a little more off the path; a block west and south of Elephant near a roundabout. I had the cumin beef with rice; great flavor, spices, and the right amount of heat. Paired with a Kirin, I had a great meal. The meal and beer were reasonably priced as well. The service was fast as my meal was ready in under 15 minutes and they were pretty full too! I wanted to try the pot of spicy pork tripe or beef slices in Sichuan broth...but was told it was for two; I may get it another time just to try and see if I can take back the rest. But I will be back to try something else, that's for sure. Non French and Chinese speakers, do yourself a favor and visit their website to prepare beforehand. Although most of the menu does have pictures, I've found a little preparation helps everyone.
