This is our last night in Bordeaux. We will always remember this lovely dinner at Chez Jean. The food is delicious and fresh. The staff is really friendly. He translated the whole menu patiently and arranged this perfect spot near the window for us! It was very romantic and pleasant evening for us! Thank you very much.

Definitely get the tartar steak! Also nice wine, good service and nice views from the 1st floor tables :-)
Service was amazing. The food was incredible. I highly recommend starting with the brie plate. My cochon noir was so tender and flavourful.
Food isn't cheap, but it is good quality. Fast and friendly service but I'm marking down because there were a TON of gnats inside, I counted more than 20 on the wall behind me and it was very aggravating while trying to enjoy our meal. We were inside for the AC, perhaps it would've been better outside despite the heat.
We took panda cotta of foie gras, braised black pig and magret de canard, cafe gourmand and Dune blanche. Simple, classic and exquisite.
The charcuterie was delicious and the petite portion was more than enough for two! Wine was cheap! Lovely to sit outside in the sun here.

Friendly staff and tasty food. Very nicely presented. The cooking is good but not exceptional, but great for the price at three courses for around 25. We both had the pork tenderloin. This came without vegetables which would be a good addition.
