This restaurant was our favorite meal in Paris. It's small, so unless you're going to eat at 6:30-7pm I recommend making reservations. The service was excellent. Their menu is small, seasonal, and their \thing\ is same day freshness. The food definitely reflects that. They have an amazing wine list and for the quality of food we got, it was a great deal. If you have 1 meal in Paris, find your way here.

I had a lunch there on a weekend. Province lamb stew. It was delicious and the service was welcoming. I don’t speak French but the waiter was able to understand me well.
Absolutely loved the hell out of this place. The duck was cooked to perfection and was really tasty. The chef was an absolute gentleman and was extremely friendly and a great cook. The entire experience was value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anybody 5/5
Great place, top team, Frederik is a very nice and friendly host! And the food of course. They have a menu. Everything is fresh and well prepared. Duck, chicken wok with fresh vegetables or the steak, everything was delicious. The desserts were also fresh prepared, fantastic. And,finaly, fair prices! Top
Outstanding, very friendly staff who welcomed us like we had only visited yesterday although it had been 18 months. The food is wonderful and the decor is fantastic. A hidden gem.
Delicious food from starter to dessert, we loved everything. And the host was super nice, I highly recommend Chez Germaine!
Friendly, friendly, friendly...and great food! We arrived around the new year and fortunately for us we were able to get a table without a reservation. (Unfortunate, however, that Paris is portrayed as a city in chaos in news due to the strike) Anyways, we had our two little ones with us and the staff were super accommodating. Our child loved their escargot, duck and bread. The prices were extremely reasonable and the location was short walk away from famous shops. In the end the important thing to note, great food, service, location and price.
why only 3 stars? perhaps it deserved a 3.5 or a small.4. Overall it was a bit of a disappointment. Not because it was bad (the food was actually very decent and fresh) but because the expectation was higher. The veggie/green beans soup was actually not vegetarian as the chef added some fish eggs. bad surprise. the soup itself was a bit bland, cold and came in tiny quantity. Seriously you are not feeding a bird here, are you? we then headed to cod, duck and a chicken wok (I personally hate it when a French restaurant offers dishes that \don't belong\ - where is the authenticity). Not bad, fresh but the side for the fish or duck was really small. For the price (at least 20-25 Euro for the fish) you expect it to be a real main. some fish choices were even above 30 Euros. For casual dining, that's a bit harsh. last but not least seating is cramped, tiny and uncomfortable seats. conclusion: if you are not worried about value for money, try it out but don't expect to eat to your full and walk away thrilled with the experience (it is however to be highlighted that the waiter was very friendly, but that was clearly not enough)
