With more than 40 years in the Oil/Gas, mining, and manufacturing sector I am well experienced in 3D Piping Design and layout. Leading design teams and multi discipline drafting groups has further advanced my ability to execute projects both large and small either singly, leading of a piping squad or an entire design group. I have completed piping design and plant layout for gas processing plants, Co-Gen facilities, large diameter pipelines, SAGD, injection and gathering systems right down to the wellhead tie-ins. As design lead, I gained years of experience estimating design hours, project progressing and auditing services. Field experience includes five years at Husky Oil’s Rainbow Lake Facility, as-building well sites at Kaybob, as building 600 P&ID’s in Husky’s Ram River Plant, field assignments in Chevron’s refineries in El Segundo (California) and Salt Lake City(Utah) as well as time spent in Abu Dhabi and Yemen with Veco. Time as Field Coordinator during construction of Gas Plant, Compressor and field facilities gave me the experience to execute procedures, construction requirements and scheduling. I have been an instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in their Engineering Design and Drafting Technology program teaching ACAD (latest versions), Advanced AutoCAD, Piping Design, Advanced Piping Design with CadWorx, Engineering Principals (mostly project Management with an introduction to how an engineering company works and the design groups responsibilities.
