Absolutley shocking. I need to transfer. Just had the most horrible receptionist have a go at me for not booking something in straight away. I was completely polite the entire time while she literally just kept having a go at me. All I wanted was to book a review for my pill, didn't ask to be talked down too.

If anyone knows a better practice from the area please recommend in the comments - I am looking at changing a practice because of reasons below: I can only confirm that dealing with this practice takes lot of patience. In the morning you have to ring 08:00:00sec to book an appointment and if you are only a second late you will have to ring 100 times and wait between 25-45 min just to talk to a receptionist who will tell you they have no appointments. But here is a clue - always state you have been refused an appointment day before or somehow run out of meds, or state its a national emergency of some sort - otherwise you will be literally ignored and refused an appointment. Like they could not put another person on the phone to deal with incoming appointments for first 30 min of the day. Lastly, doctors ring back from a withheld number and they dont give you a specific time to expect a call. If you wont pick up the phone first time you can forget about your appointment...even if you ring the practice straight away. So you end up glued to the phone for whole day.

If you value your health stay clear! 68 engaged calls made in a day, and still didn't get through. 19th /10 called for repeat prescription. Told I needed a review? Called again 29th to be arrogantly told I didn't call while 23rd. Told them I had nearly run out of inhaler. Told they would call 2 days later, to get me an inhaler, call never happened. Called again 2/11, 5/11 to be told to expect call from doctor by a belligerent receptionist. Again call never happened. ENOUGH! Moved surgery, unbelievable speed in getting docs transferred. Called to make a phone consultation (as required when moving), slot booked next day, review done by friendly doctor, lovely friendly reception, prescription waiting at pharmacy. Perfect!

Horrendous place.. Thats if u can park in the first place.. Reception staff are ignorant and have very bad attitudes.... Very impersonal place to visit.. A few good eggs there tho... But all in all bot a nice Drs... Avondale was. A. Far better surgery
