While waiting for my ferry check-in, I toid whether I had time but, glad I did. Walking from the ferry car park; a ticket for 18 euro; and a fantastic 2 hours to see, not only an internal tour of a submarine (mind blowing), but also stunning aquarium and underwater 'world'. Go... If you have a couple of hours to kill.

Fantastic. Everybody should absolutely see it. The Redoutable is unique, the aquariums beautiful, the Titanic, all the underwater devices are amazing. The Cite de la Mer is very educative for adults and children. The grand gallery of the deep submersible, the Alabama canon, and on and on are great.

Amazing to be able to visit a big nuclear submarine, but also all the other ocean exploring vehicles! An amazing overview of history. The aquarium is beautiful, however slightly less spectacular. The terminal of the Titanic is amazing, as well as the story of the millions of people emigrating to the Americas. Also the story about the Titanic is very detailed and nicely designed. It is very nice to be able to walk in and out with your (digital) ticket.

Can you recall the film 'Les parapluies de Cherbourg'? Yes. It's the place where the lovers used to talk a walk in the rain

Unique experience, how many times do you have the chance of visiting a nuclear submarine?

Fantastic museum! Definitely worth a visit! I would rate it five stars straight away - BUT: please release the poor turtle. It was heartbreaking to see the distressed animal swimming against the wall of the aquarium. Turtles grow so old and have an entire ocean to explore. A tiny aquarium has nothing of its natural habitat and I can’t call this anything different than animal cruelty. Seeing this really overshadowed my visit at Cité de la Mer. I think we should know better nowadays and choose kindness over profit.

Very impressive exhibition of maritime technology of the 20th century combined with a worth seeing sea aquarium.

First French nuclear-powered submarine. It is easy to note that the nuclear technology was not very dependable as the sub has huge diesels and generators to run on diesel fuel if reactors are off. A great piece of mid-XX-century's technology.
