From what i told how awful Cherburg ferry Terminal about the facilities are it is totally wrong. I found the facilities excellent it is my first time to be here out of the 11 ferry terminal's i have gone through Cherburg is by far the best.

Not as big as other ferries, but a lot faster. It took only three hours to cross the channel from Portsmouth to Cherboug. Only one level for passengers but it does have adequate counters for food, drinks, and gifts. Ride can be wobbly once the ferry picks up speed, so be prepared to grab a hand rail while walking.
It's a fairly small town. With numerous shops.
Very well organised
Very simple, lots of room, etc. But the authorities need to deal with abuse like I show in my photo - camping overnight at the port entry kiosk to be first on board. People like this will take liberties unless you do something about it. Where did they tip their dirty water? In the bush next to the caravan!
