Came though the A28 at 8pm on the way back from a uni visit. 5 pubs turned us away before we came to this little gem. Lovely staff, Amazing food and they loved the dog as well. Totally worth a visit, we loved it

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat one lunchtime. Well organised (covid rules), as we were shown to our table. A huge menu with some great options. We had a brie and bacon sandwich and a steak baguette. Both were excellent. Would recommend a visit here. Easy parking aswell.
Would just like to thank the Chequers for an excellent hot Burns Night Meal delivered to our door on Monday. Quite delicious and a real treat.
First time here and loved it - quaint old English pub facing the village green. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was spot on. Prices aren't cheap but service was excellent - you get what you pay for and we had no complaints. Will go back again
