Great dine in experience! Quick service, delicious, and (according to my Mom who lived in Chengdu for several years) really authentic food! The fish really impressed me with how crunchy it was, meaning it much have been freshly fried. Some dishes fell too sweet for my taste but all were perfectly and incredibly spicy. Not to mention the staff were really kind.

The owner requested a review in addition to the 3-star rating. So this is partially a review and partially me asking for advice because everything looks so good. I'll admit, I don't have experience with this style cuisine, but I've enjoyed Indian, Japanese, Mediterranean, and Korean food in Philly. Recently I had the Dan Dan Noodles, but they were way too oily for me. Spice was fine, but I should've drained 90% of the oil out of the bottom before mixing. Still, it needed something else to balance out the flavor. I got a microwave vibe from the steamed dragon eye buns. Some were okay, others were rubber with tough meat. A few months back I think I had the Masters Special. I could only taste the chili, not the chicken. Again, it needed something else to balance the flavor. Maybe this is me not liking chili peppers as much as I thought? :)

The pork belly was good. The master chicken was mostly peppers and dryer then I expected. The shrimp fried rice was pretty good.

Really delicious Sichuan food. My partner said the garlic eggplant was the best eggplant she has had outside of China. The Mapo tofu was also really good. Lots of good vegetarian options and good portion sizes too. Ordered everything spicy which was the middle option and it felt like just the right amount of heat. Definitely want to go back and try more options. The Mala dry pot was great too and the added homemade noodles were perfect. Definitely a hidden gem of a place. Also order directly from their site to get a discount.

Some of the best Chinese food in Philadelphia! For those who love spice, this will definitely hit the spot. Highly recommend the potatoes- seriously so delicious, I’ve never tried anything this good! Service was speedy. Would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Sichuan cuisine!
