Secure Haven Funeral Directors

When my mum died I called Paul at Secure Haven for no other reason than it was local. I have to say that Paul gives you a sense of relief in that you feel suddenly everything is under control. There is no pressure, everything is explained and you feel that there is an understanding and solemness throughout the whole process. I did not read the reviews beforehand and so did not see the wealth of praise and gratefulness - I am so glad we chose Secure Haven and hope these reviews encourage others to do the same.

I cannot thank Secure Haven enough for their professionalism & sensitivity when I found myself in the unenviable position of losing both my parents on the same day. I had never organised a funeral before so the prospect of organising one for two people was very daunting to say the least. Cheryl & Paul at Secure Haven certainly came to my rescue, at no time did I feel pressured to choose an overly expensive package, they have plenty of choice at very reasonable prices, they talked me through the process to move mum & dad to their premises after their post mortem, gave me help & guidence regarding funeral arrangements during Covid. Where the funeral took place couldn't have been more perfect, Bentley crematorium is so peaceful & the celebrant Jill Lambeth was wonderful & made the service feel very personalised & was very helpful in choosing the right music, poems & perfect eulogy. The few people that could come all commented how beautiful the service was from the flowers & photos to the way everyone at Secure Haven was dressed & the professional way Cheryl walked in front of the hearse on arrival. They supported me every step of the way & took away all the stress - they provided a very personal service and sympathetic ear - I can highly recommend them - thank you so much Cheryl, Paul & Jill for all your help and advice in making something good out of a very difficult and unusual situation xx

It's been over 3 years and till this day, I'm so grateful to have found Kate, Paul and Cheryl at Secure Haven. I continue to recommend them to others who are facing the difficult journey of saying goodbye to a loved one. I have a background in sales, so I was shocked when I started looking into funeral directors and found that they were using a combination of my grief and sales techniques to try and get me to spend as much money as possible. Secure Haven was the absolute opposite. Not only did they allow us to have a more affordable funeral, but they provided us with all the support we needed before the funeral as well as on the day to make sure we could say goodbye properly and that all the logistics were taken care of. The fact that years later, I still thank God that we found Secure Haven is a testament to the amazing work they do to help people cope with one of the most difficult experiences we face.

I have been meaning to leave Secure Haven a review for a while now and with it coming up to the one year anniversary of my father's funeral, I felt compelled to do so now. Before choosing Secure Haven, everything regarding my father's death (including other establishments who had been involved) had been shambolic and honestly quite traumatic for my family. As soon as Secure Haven took over and we had Paul helping us, everything fell back in to place. Paul was very respectful towards my father and sensitive towards me and my family. We were guided through every decision we had to make and Paul was very accommodating to ensure that we never felt stressed by the funeral arrangements on top of our grief. The funeral was so perfect and so personalised that a year on we can find great comfort in knowing that we have our father the perfect send off.
