Abandoned Lunatic Asylum - Fenced off but not hard to access. Just a shell off the hospital there’s nothing inside other than rooms and walls. Basement is flooded so inaccessible. A dangerous building as a lot of the rooms have weak or missing floors and windows. There’s holes everywhere and It is pitch black at night. Very interesting place

the bugs in the windows were a lovely interior design. beautiful addition to my bedroom. someome here stays in the room michel jackson stayed in!! pretty cool if you ask me. the room service is 10/10. the staff come straight away. the pet cow (bruce) is great for therapy. stroking it makes it easier to express your feelings. smacking the cow is a great way to vent your anger. the cow loves it!! would definitely recommend! the colour scheme is beautiful. surprise cupboard under the bed too. great discipline method when your a bit loopy. would totally recommend if ur mentally ill!!

Fern Ward- As having someone here that i know i can honestly say my review is mixed, the day staff are absolutely fantastic, whenever i have concerns about the patient they put my mind at ease, the facility is a really nice place and cant fault the day staff, although it has to be said that the night staff are soo rude, any enquiry i have i always get told to call in the morning, they never seem to want to help, the way they speak to me is unacceptable, especially on one occasion i had a staff member shout at me for no reason at all, apart from that during the day the place is fantastic, if this place had better night staff the place would be absolutely great. There are 1 or 2 more negatives but overall its ok

Avoid this place at all cost. The majority of the staff doesn't care about the condition of their patients. My brother got worse after he left this place, they give more than the required medicine amount. The heat is kept high all the time, there's no open window in my brother room, it felt like a prison. If you care about your relatives please do not send them here.

was admitted to orchard ward for 4 months. when i entered the ward they took my phone and i was sad about it but it helped my recovery.staff are lovely, also the patients. good support by everyone around. don’t forget to weigh you. wakes you up at 8-8:30. gives you your medication on time, does checks on time. some staff could be rude but most of them are lovely. OT is amazing, keeps you occupied& always doing something. in the day we have school and the teachers are amazing! every single one of them, teaches u more than school could.. they don’t put too much pressure on u and let you work at a good paste. food wasn’t the best but it was good for a hospital. set meal times and set times too have snacks. they know what to do when having breakdowns, panick attacks or incidents. this hospital made me a different person. i came in at my darkest time when i had no hope, then i came out realising i have the future. it doesn’t 100% cure you but it does help! thankyou so much for the support- HCAs, OTs,teachers and everyone else that helped with my care. wishing you all the best
