Good for kids
A fantastic reserve which has a fantastic range of wildlife since most of the reserve is lowland heath which is a rare in Leicestershire as well. It also have some great examples of birch woodland which has a nice range of fungi in the Autumn. It seemed to be very quiet on our first visit and it is a large reserve too so there are plenty of paths to go down.

Nice marsh nature reserve. Parking for member is down the road to the left of the marker on Google maps, and you need the padlock code from the wildlife trust. It would be better if way markers were clearer. Also, are WT members allowed in the wood? Wasn't clear.
Absolutely stunning here, so beautiful and quiet away from busier beauty spots
Good place to walk with many paths. Muddy in places after heavy rain so best in boots from Oct. Moor and woodlands with rocky outcrops makes for a varied interesting area.
Stunningly beautiful. Impressive views and a great feeling of solitude. Highly recommend a stroll around and gaze into the distance, working out where different cities and buildings are.
