When the tide is out, this is a lovely, sandy beach. If swimming, be careful of the rocks under the water. My son cut his leg on one whilst swimming in the sea. Good rock pools. Sea stream to swim/paddle/canoe - great for kids. Take a walk up the cliff, the views are beautiful. If you have a dog, they're allowed up the cliff walk. Also on the right hand side beach, behind the grey building, past the rocks/boulders. They're not allowed on the left hand beach. Parking is 4 for the day, 3 after 2pm and 1 after 6pm. Car park closes at 9pm. There a 5* food rating ice cream van there until around 5pm ish.

Beautiful beach with gorgeous views and fossils and cool rocks to be found. Amazing place to visit but bring food otherwise you might starve to find even a nibble to eat. Very cute town next to the beach. Parking fills up on a a beautiful day so come early.
Fabulous adventure despite the weather it was raining and windy but the face on my child when she found her first fossil was priceless. We stayed there for 1.5 hours searching for fossils and glad it was successful day. There is car park near by we paid for 3 hours can’t remember exact price but it wasn’t too expensive. I am really happy we came the Jurassic coast as my child is big fan of Mary Annings and it was exciting to walk in her footsteps. Make sure you prepare wearing water proof clothes and warm coat and don’t forget to bring your own hot drinks in a thermos. I think I will return again when it’s warmer months and stay there for a long weekend.
Awesome beach and great to have a search amongst the rocks for fossils, many to be found. Stayed at Wood Farm and just a 20 odd minute walk to the beach. Remember to stop at the fossil shop up the hill past nisa shop, he has many cool fossils and even done a documentary with Attenborough over his finds, cool guy
Lovely quiet beach, the heritage centre is very interesting with friendly staff. You can walk along the beach itself or up the mountainside above and look at the beautiful views. If walking along the beach keep a look out for fossils as well
Lovely and quiet. Little one struggled to walk going west along waterfront. Bit of clay getting washed onto beach but definitely good for getting out.
One of my favourite places to go and have been visiting since I was a kid. A great place to visit with the family to find fossils or on your own for a self care day away. The toilets were clean and there is a cafe and shop where the staff are very lovely and helpful.
Lovely place, nice museum about fossils. Quite educational and relaxing! Lots of dogs and family walking around on the beach :) parking has to be paid for all day if you arrive before 2pm and it'll cost you 4 for the whole day. Just a place to eat some typical British food on the beach.
