Website and social media pages all mention Low Income support or Low cost care for self pay, however this is not true. They do not offer any assistance for low income. Cost for STDs screening ranges from 200-400 how in the hell they consider that to be low cost blows my mind. They could not offer any other resources for affordable std screening. Over all a huge waste of time unless you have insurance or willing to pay a huge sum.

I drove to planned parenthood on Monday for something urgent that was an emergency. The website says it is open on Monday. The gates were all closed, there was no way to enter. I tried to get in (because it said it was open) but there was no way to get in. I called the phone number but nobody answered.... so I called again and corporate said this location is closed on Mondays. I told her the severity of my matter (sexual assault) and she hung up on me. DO NOT GO HERE ON MONDAYS. Honestly I don’t even know what day to come, because this is not accurate at all.

They had called me ten minutes before my appointment to give me notice not to come. It was during a tropical storm where there was severe flooding going on around the city. They could have called prior. My appointment was booked a week in advance. But the MAJOR issue I have is with the clinician that took “care” of me. I did not catch her name but she is a middle aged women with an asymmetrical blonde bob hair cut. Anyways we were going back and forth about the service that I wanted done, she tried to debate with me about what I shouldn’t get done to my body. Anyways during the back and forth we were having she decided to ask what my family does for a living! I told her “that was not up for discussion”. She needs to be worrying about what she needs to be doing for a living, because helping better women and men at Planned Parenthood does not seem to be in her interest. How dare her try to argue with a patient. After we were finished she said I was all good to go. Did not give any instructions or any time durations. It has not been the same since they relocated from ALBERMARLE. The staff there were much more welcoming and made you feel that they enjoyed doing their job. A couple of my friends have also noticed a shift customer service and professionalism.

Have caution when you contact this facility. They have their own agenda when it comes to Abortion; they will disguise it when you make your initial contact. Whether or not you want to terminate a pregnancy is absolutely none of my business and I fully support the women whom choose to do so, or vise versa. I believe there should be an unprecedented level of respect and appreciation for the woman (who will likely be at their most vulnerable) that come in seeking unbiased, accurate information. This place is not that. if you need assistant with a pregnancy you plan to carry out, these people seem like they have great intentions to help you do so, and thats great-- It's an extremely valuable service they offer, along with counseling and maybe even financial or how to go through the correct channels to get financial support. With that said, I simply dont appreciate the manipulative behavior and biased agenda that they clearly have. It should go without saying, the practices at this facility seem unethical.

nice building , modern decor and clean in the inside the staff was wonderful and the doctor so comforting and knowledgeable. Coming from someone who doesn’t have health insurance , planned parenthood has always been a positive experience for me getting my birth control and my yearly paps.
