The staff are friendly and helpful and that helps putting you at ease while in a station that will hardly win any awards. The station is functional and nowhere near flashy - it gets the job done. It's fairly small, fairly clean if worn around the edges. The neighborhood however is terrible. Do not walk to uptown, or even the nearest light rail station at any time of the day, despite the proximity. Bus 11 drops you right outside the station, and some trains are even met by the bus saving you the need to wait for the bus at the stop outside the station. Of course, the station inside is safe.

Once again my train is late! And it will be another 45 minute wait for the train to arrive! I carefully arranged to have a pick-up in Greensboro but now they will be waiting an extra hour. I really wish the administrators and managers of Amtrak would get their act together. The weather is light rain so no excuse. Also the man in the ticket office as well as ticket takers when you board are usually rude as well. It feels like a bad state system to me.

I've taken the train 6 times, 2 went smoothly 3 had delays (15-200 minutes) and 1 time I got put on a bus instead of a train. No refunds or anything. Find any other way to get from point A-B if you want it to be reliable

Not so bad despite the fact the trains are usually an hour delayed
