I have only been to the Rendezvous four times, and used to think it was overrated. However, my most recent visit two days ago has changed my mind. The atmosphere and experience has always been top notch. The waiters are some of the best in Memphis. The food was fantastic. My pulled pork plate had plenty of extremely tasty BBQ topped with their famous dry rub. Our friend got the ribs and they had plenty of meat. I am definitely putting the alley restaurant back on the local favorites list.

Absolutely amazing. I don’t splurge much but this was worth it and then some. Dan was amazing and just the best kind of server. While I was here I had a high class feel with a hometown vibe. I’m so thankful to the two people who recommended this place to me. Please don’t hesitate a trip here.
This review is 2 stars only because of the quality of the food. We had amazing, attentive service and I would give him 5 stars. We had the brisket and rib combo and it was quite possibly the worst BBQ we’ve ever had. Dry, tough ribs and fatty brisket. I disliked the very strong rub that covered the ribs. The food tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. We would never return or recommend to anyone.
This would be a great review if I was only rating the service and atmosphere, but unfortunately the food killed it. I had the chicken nachos, and after the first bite I was just hoping I didn't get sick. Even though the food came out really fast. The chicken was so hard to chew. It tasted like it was made days before and had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I could have went to a gas station for better nachos.
Stopped for takeout due to the “fame”. The place was busy. The staff is nice. The sweet tea was great! It is downstairs from the entrance and dimly lit, memorabilia throughout. The food was average. I could not eat the ribs due to them being so hard. The pork shoulder was average, bland. The cole slaw is yellow and tart. The potatoes salad is also mustard based. The circular pecan pies are made outside and sold within the restaurant.
