WASTED POTENTIAL! This chip shop frustrates me. Its appearance is so poor that there is zero reason to visit this shop over the Ellenbrook Fish Bar 2 minutes down the road. The counter itself is okay, however none of the decor has changed in at LEAST 10 years, possibly 15. The yellowing, unattractive A4 signs taped to the counter, fridge, wall etc have been there since I was a child. The walls have been painted an anemic green, but other than that there have been no improvements or investments made. The place needs to completely declutter of A4 paper, be painted a more attractive colour inside, and become more interesting inside. The Ellenbrook Fish Bar has LED light strips, artwork on the wall and attractive tiles. It doesn't sound like much, but it's much more appealing and it feels more clean and higher quality as a result. The sign outside has not changed in my life time, and probably my parents lifetime. It is very dated and dirty. Plants are growing out of the gutter/light strip beneath the sign. Rather than continuing to have an empty chip shop for the next 10 years, invest a few thousand and have the appearance updated. I suggest you hire a designer or ask a competent friend to help you, as the current asian (owner?) and older woman who I have seen working there for over 10 years clearly do not know how to improve the place. As your shop is always empty, the food has to be cooked to order which takes a long time compared to EFB. Or if it is in the window, it will have been there for a long time. This puts people off going. I am depressed everytime I visit (rarely). Put more effort in and you'll see an increase in customers.
The fish & chips here are lovely but not so much the idiot parking over the line to take up part of the disability slot! Nothing to do with the chip shop though..
