It’s an amazing place to spend your time there...the staff are extremely polite and the books are in great state.

Home of Sir Samuel Alexander Sadler's statue, a prominent civic figure in the late 1800;s and early 1900's.
Very helpful staff, and really useful for tracing your family tree, as it contains all of the local parish registers, some on micro fiche and some as transcripts in thick bound books. There's also computers to use, but my only gripe is that it is not large enough to accommodate all of the people who visit it, plus for using a computer or the micro fiche machines you do have to book over the phone.
staff are always police and helpfull
Every facility you'd possibly want from a library. Very helpful staff and, although always full of public users, a peaceful place to read, study or use computers. My happy place at 72 & I've been using it since childhood.
