Central BBQ - Summer

We went for lunch yesterday. The food is usually good. The ribs were fantastic and the sausage was too. The pork was a little dry but adding the sauce makes it come back to life. The lady at the counter didn’t say too much and when I asked for a menu to look at she handed me one without even looking at me. She didn’t say much to get our order either, maybe having a long day. They do have social distancing and the guys who brought out the food were nice. It’s my favorite bbq place.

The top of the sweet tea is never on correctly and the tea spills out. I usually just order the banana pudding. It is the perfect consistency. There are a few nuts that add a textural component. I get the quart which last a couple days. This banana pudding is in my top 5!

Not as good as I had hoped... The pork was dryer than day old bread. Neither the pork or chicken had any flavor. The sausage was delicious and if I ever find myself there again, that's what I'll order. The fries were pretty good but the green beans and roll I wish I had done without. I can't really say anything good or bad about the service because you place your order when you come in then sit down. Some time later they'll come around calling your number. At least it didn't take a long time to get my food but it wasn't as hot as I expected (warm at best). This place came highly recommended to me by a few people. I can't say I agree with them. It is easy access, so that's a plus (I think). If you do decide to dine there, go to the bank first. It's pretty high, especially for what you get.

Awesome pulled pork and slaw, fries pair perfect with it. Was a little confused how the pickup/carryout work but once there it was fine. Got a solid meal for a great total and great timing.

Good ribs, brisket cut too thin for my taste. Sausage is plain, not jalapeño or cheese filled. Sides taste exactly like store bought honey baked beans and potato salad. Nachos were good.
