We love Central BBQ as a whole in Memphis. However, this last order was not quite what we were used to. Our ribs seemed extra chewy and didn’t seem nearly as fresh as we’ve had before. Fries also tasted as if they had been sitting out a while. Our portion sizes for the brisket and pulled pork plate also seemed noticeably smaller than previous times ordered. Whether it’s due to Covid-19 or otherwise, we were slightly disappointed in the quality this time.

Everyone seems to have their personal favorite BBQ place in Memphis and people get very passionate about it. Central is my favorite. It's not even close if you ask me but that's just my opinion. They do real Memphis style BBQ perfectly, the sauce is very good and they have several great locations. I hear the banana pudding is very good too but I am always too stuffed to eat dessert. I have taken friends from all over the world to Central and always got rave reviews.
Love their smoked turkey sandwich w/ fries. Love it wet or dry and love the smoke taste. Central BBQ’s service is excellent and always quick.
Visited this restaurant while visiting out of state and I had a less than favorable time. Hostess taking our order was extremely rude and failed to give us our receipt. We watched as groups with more people that came in after us got their orders before we did. It wasn’t until we pointed this out that we actually received our order. The wait was not worth the food to me. Overall, I regret coming to this establishment. Its unfortunate and disappointing that this was my first time trying Memphis BBQ and I didn’t enjoy it whatsoever.
Pretty good overall. Quick service and decent flavor. Ribs and chicken were a little dry but still great flavor. Tables/chairs needed a little cleaning. Decent food, decent price, low wait times, I'd go again
