A big thank to Joy and her female coworkers for the visit and all those priceless explanations on the transformation of the bamboo into straws.Very instructive. It was easy enough to access from Santa Fe, it took us less than 30 min by motorbike. As well the bread in the bakery just beside the workshop is delicious

Very cool to see how the Bantayan Bamboo straws and their other products are made. This is their factory where they produce everything. The road to get there was at the time very muddy and slippery, be careful. At the entrance there was a lady who took us around the small factory and explained the whole process of the production, for free!! You can also but straws here pricing 18-30PHP depending on the size you are after. They also do sporks (spoon and fork in one). All of their straws are hand made and a lot of work goes in to every single one of them! Totally worth a visit, we were the only visitors there.
