Lovely walks for all levels of ability and distance length. A perfect family day out. Amazing hot chocolate at the cafe. My favourite walk, is a walk to desolation valley. it is not suitable for prams but what a beautiful waterfall.

Helpful staff, all done outside. Want to come back under better circumstances. Vegetable soup was nice, but sandwiches were prepacked off site. Beautiful location.
Great location, but it took ages to get food and drink from the take away (pavilion wasn't open due to covid restrictions). If you are travelling to Bolton Abbey make sure you book your parking in advance (10 online) or you may not get a space and mobile coverage can be poor so may not be able to get online to purchase close by. The abbey and surrounding walks are beautiful, well worth the money!
Booking a car parking space is essential, but easy. Check the one way systems around the wood as they are not well advertised. Otherwise Bolton Abbey is as beautiful as it always was and the Coffee and mince pies were excellent.
Fantastic Excellent Christmas meal here today. Great service, friendly atmosphere had by all. Highly recommended even with the cold and rain outside!
