I live in the UK but several members of my family are buried here. We were visiting another part of Italy, but drove several hours to visit the cemetery. When we arrived, it was all locked up, even though by the hours listed here and outside the cemetery it should be open (note that the opening hours listed on google are not correct anyway). It's really frustrating.

Building work going on so no parking on site right now but there is a parking structure nearby which is incredibly cheap: only 50 eurocents! (less than 50p)
Il cimitero comunale di Cava de'Tirreni ormai è diventato un luogo abbandonato, sporcizia ovunque, sterpaglie bruciate dal sole, erbacvia che cresce a dismisura, nonun luogo di culto, ma una discarica. Anni fa quando veniva gestito dai dipendenti comunali era tutta un'altra storia, oggi gestisce la Metellia, ed èeglio che mi fermo qui.......... Lo stato del cimitero è evidente a tutti pure ai ciechi.
