Best tacos and burritos I have ever tried in Glasgow.

I bought a \paella de mariscos\ and when it arrived on time at home I was terribly disappointed. I don't know if I have been pranked or something but everyone has talked in a good way about this restaurant. I know how a paella tastes like (and looks like) (oh, and smells like) and this is not spanish cuisine, not even spanish taste, not even good quality if I have to be honest, but I don't expect everything to be perfect, but at least if you can't cook a proper Paella don't tell people that you do instead. After this inconvenience that costed me almost 20 quid, I phoned the restaurant asking why do they sell food that is not what the say it is and the man on the phone started asking me (quite impolitely) how's the paella recipe in my opinions. No, dear sir, you tell me and most of all, you can't tell a customer that you \don't have time for this\. Do you think I liked receiving a takeaway that smelled like Fish Noodles and was supposed to be a paella that costed me 20 pounds?

Poor show on the paella, said there were no mussels, then they found a few but they were off, so it ruined the entire meal and felt sick later and the next day. Mentioned it to the waiter, not his fault, but no refund offered. Owner seemed more interested in watching football on laptop than customer care.

I'd actually give this place 3.5 stars if I could. Really like the new decor, which is definitely an improvement from my last visit a few years ago. It's nice to have a Spanish radio station on in the background as well so full marks for the atmosphere. We were in for a late lunch and I was really happy with my two courses - a tasty, fresh and spicy vegetable paella and a very generous portion of fried haddock. My Americano was also very good and tastes just as it would in Spain. At 10 for the two courses I got good value too. My partner had three tapas and said they were all very tasty. But they certainly weren't cheap and there was no lunchtime offer such as 3 tapas for 2. So our verdict was the same as it was a few years ago: this is a very nice place and the food is authentic and good. But the tapas are expensive and El Gusto should think about some 3 for 2 etc. offers, especially at lunchtime.
