I had a manicure at Silver Birch Clinic and though the woman who did it was lovely (I think I tipped her 20 so she could get closer to her vacation plans) but when I had a good look at them they were kind of lumpy. I felt bad but I wasn't happy with them so I called to let them know. They said that I could come back in and they would redo them for me. I scheduled an appointment but on the weekend I injured my back so badly that I had to go to hospital. When I got home I called to cancel the appointment and asked if I could just get a refund because I knew I wasn't going to be able to sit for a manicure for a good long while (it turned out that I was bed ridden for two months). The lady I spoke with was understanding and agreed and said there would be a cheque for me at the shop for my partner to pick up. The next morning the owner/manager called and left a message saying that a refund wasn't possible. I called and I landed up having THE MOST unpleasant conversation I've ever had. I told her that she should honour what her employee had agreed to and that even if it wasn't their policy the special circumstances warranted some understanding. She finally, resentfully, agreed and ended the phone call. I was so upset I sobbed. I have never experienced worse customer service. I had a very expensive gift certificate I'd received on my anniversary that I gave to a friend because I was not willing to go back there. My experience with Silver Birch Clinic was truly horrifying. I was just a young woman who had a bad experience go from no-big-deal bad to out-of-this-world horrific. I'm happy to see that others have had good experiences but I think it's important for people to know that there's some degree of luck involved because ick. 1 star is 1 star too many.

Excellent service and the ladies here are all wonderful. I've had waxing, lashes, foot reflexology and massages - all positive experiences.
Every service has been professional and the space is gorgeous and clean.
